Credits - Cat II

This program has been designed to meet the category II hours for the physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or nurse whose practice involves the delivery of primary care medicine.

While primary care providers are the target audience, subspecialists will also find the topics useful and are welcome to attend.

Tuition includes admission to conference hall, lecture notes, continental breakfast, breaks and lunch. There is no charge for parking. However, cancellations incur $25 administration fee.

PA Alumni Scholar Award - 2009

Support for PA students occurs in multiple ways. Details at:

Alumni established five awards for PA students attending the AMC Center for Physician Assistant Studies.

Alumni Scholar Award
PA Student in the Class of 2010 will receive an award on 9/10/2000 at "CME II Day 2009" from the HVCC endowment, based on an essay with the subject of:
"One vision of a progressive PA Alumni Association."

Funding occurs through PA Alumni via Hudson Valley Commuity College's Endowment to support PA students studying at Albany Medical College. The Alumni Scholar Award is valued at $500.00 for the student who meets the criteria noted above.

Graduating PA students
Four awards were provided by the Alumni Association to the Class of 2009; our not-for-profit organization offers multiple other supports to students.

Objectives - CME Day 2009

CME Day 2009 is designed for all providers of primary care medicine, including physicians, nurse practitioners, as well as physician assistants. Interested health care clinicians and students are welcome to participate in this program to develop health care that is evidence based, comprehensive and accessible.

This twelfth, full-day CME conference, initially sponsored by the Albany-Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program Alumni Association, Inc. is now sponsored by the Graduate Center for Physician Assistant Studies at Albany Medical College.
